Short Description

The Cybathlon 2020 introduces a new obstacle: A wooden door that has to be opened by a robotic arm without any other interference. The stair climbing wheelchair Scewo has no such system implemented yet. The goal of this thesis is implement a prototype of a robotic system to interface with the environment. This includes the initial evaluation of robotic arms and actuators as well as corresponding sensor units needed for localization. A Scewo wheelchair and its API is made available to test the final solution.
